Sort Exercise

This is an auto-training exercise so that your users can enhance their learning. Users can put their knowledge to the test by dragging the answers that go with each group. Once they complete the exercise, users can repeat it as many times as they like.

The goal of the sort exercise is to group the answers that will appear on the upper panel in their corresponding groups. The way to assign an answer to a group is dragging the answer element towards the group and dropping it over it.

If the answer assigned to that group is correct, positive feedback will appear and the next answer will be shown. Otherwise, negative feedback will appear and they will have to try again.

Once the exercise is done, a general feedback window will be shown where the number of correct answers (on the first attempt) appears.

Regarding the size of the cell this interactive element takes up, it can behave in two ways:

  • Direct execution: When you click on the icon on the home page, the exercise starts in that same cell.

  • Browser: If the cell, where the exercise is, is too small to do the exercise comfortably, this will act as a browser. This means that after clicking the icon on the home page, the exercise will expand until it fills the whole slide. The user will be able to return the exercise to its original size by clicking on the X which appears after expanding.

Mobility

This exercise behaves differently on mobile devices or devices that are very small in order to improve their usability. The main difference is the way the groups where answers must be placed are shown. Thus, for mobility, they will be placed horizontally, so that the user finds the group that goes with the answer that they see and drag it together. The movement from one group to another is done by swiping the mouse or a finger.

In responsive mode (mobile), it always behaves in browser mode to provide a more comfortable and immersive experience, regardless of how its non-responsive version behaves.

Editing the Sort Exercise in accesible mode

  • Add an alternative text and a long description if it is relevant to your cover image in the Grouping exercise.
  • You can assign a title by choosing from the different headings, so that your students can identify the exercise. Try not to repeat this title in the project section.
  • Add alternative text and a long description if relevant to the accompanying images for each group.
  • To improve the accessible user experience, replace the drag functionality with radio buttons for each group.
