Presenter for Classic courses (Beta)

With isEazy Author you have the possibility to add a voiceover or video presenter to each slide of your Classic courses. You can use either mode as an introduction to your content as they will play automatically when you enter the slide.

You can also add subtitles in both options, which we highly recommend, and even configure your slides to automatically navigate to the next slide at the end of playback.

Configuration

Click on the button to choose the mode: voiceover or video presenter.

Mode: voice-over

Once you choose the voice-over mode, you can upload the audio file (maximum size 30 MB) from your computer, or you can generate the audio using AI with the Text to Speech option.

You can also add subtitles and configure the option to automatically skip to the next slide when the audio ends.

Interaction

You can decide whether you want to allow interaction with other elements of the slide while it is playing or not.

If you have selected the option "Allow interaction with the slide" the student will be able to interact with the elements of the slide while listening to the audio.

If you do not have the option "Allow interaction with the slide" selected, a veil will appear and you will have to listen to the audio before interacting with the elements. What you can do is to stop the audio (by pressing the STOP button on the playback bar) and thus access the content without finishing listening to the audio.

When you select the audio file you will see that in the lower controls of the slide a voice-over button is enabled. This will allow you to play and stop the audio.

Note that if your course has sequential navigation, the student will not be able to move to the next slide without listening to all the audio.

Mode: video presenter

Once you choose the video presenter mode, you will be able to upload the video file (maximum size 1GB) from your computer.

You can also record your own video. Learn more about screen casting and webcam recording in this article.

You can also add subtitles and configure the option to automatically switch to the next slide when the video ends.

You can also create a video with an AI avatar. Learn more about Avatars in this article.

Style

You can decide how you want the video presenter and subtitles to look and be positioned by clicking on the option of your choice.

You can view the playback of the video presenter by pressing the play button just below the slide in editing or in preview mode.

Presenter considerations

Presenter is not supported in Express courses. You will see that the option does not appear in the slide editor for its configuration. This is because the Express course is intended to be an agile, fast consuming content. This Express course is consumed by scrolling as in a web page and you can have several slides on screen at the same time, so if a slide has a presenter it would be a problem.

Editing Presenter in accessible mode

  • Add a transcript when necessary. This text should be descriptive and you can make it more useful with formatting and adding captions, for example. You can learn more about this according to WCAG here.

  • Please note that even if you configure the "advance" or "slide interaction" mode, these functionalities will not be available in the accessible mode of the course.
