Screencasting and webcam recording
Videos are a key resource in learning. That's why in isEazy Author you also have the possibility to record your own videos, whether they are screen or webcam recordings.
Here's how to do it:
From the interactive video elements, instead of using an external video resource, you can record your own video. Select Recording and click the Create your recording button and a window will open where you can choose between recording with your webcam or screen casting.
Recording with webcam
If you decide to record with your webcam you will see this pop-up window:
You can select different options using the configuration buttons to choose from:
- The quality of your video (between 720p or 640p)
- The camera (from among those available on your computer)
- The microphone (from among those available on your computer)
When you are ready, click "Start recording". You will see the button turn red while recording is in progress.
Click on it again to finish recording.
Once the video is recorded, you can choose between Discard and retry or Save video. If you choose to save, your clip will be saved in this Video item and you will be able to download and/or delete it. If you choose to retry, this clip will be deleted and the recording will be restarted.
Screen casting
If you decide to record your screen you will see this pop-up window:
Again, you will be able to choose:
- the quality of your video (between 720p or 640p)
- the microphone with which you will record your clip
When you are ready, click Start recording. You can then decide whether to record a tab, window or full screen.
When you have decided, click on Share.
While the recording is in progress, the button turns red, like this:
Click on it again to finish recording.
Once the video is recorded, you can choose between Discard and retry or Save video. If you choose to save, your clip will be saved in this Video item and you will be able to download and/or delete it. If you choose to retry, this clip will be deleted and the recording will be restarted.
